Discussion with Mr. Merick: The discussion I had with Mr. Merick was actually more important than I thought it would be. He first asked me some basic questions and then gave me an idea how to further develop my project. He said to build a server (either a physical or virtual software) that would calculate the time remaining until the bus reaches the person who is waiting. If the GPS turns out to be too expensive, he also gave me an idea that people traveling in the bus/driver can send the location from their smartphones (through an installed app) to the server. He also told me about how I can use Google Maps API to link that to the server to detect the average speed and traffic information related to the bus. So the questions I have would be: how will I create the server? how will I link the server to Google Maps in order to find out the timing of the bus based on the traffic and average speed between each stop? What did you learn? What questions do you have?

19gupta s (talk) 11:26, 2 April 2016 (CEST)
