Platform as a Service (PaaS) is a cloud computing model in which a third-party provider delivers a platform that allows organizations to develop, run, and manage applications and services without the need to maintain the underlying infrastructure.

PaaS providers offer a range of tools, frameworks, and services that developers can use to create and deploy applications and services. This includes things like development environments, databases, and middleware, as well as services like load balancing and security.

PaaS providers typically handle the underlying infrastructure, such as servers, storage, and networking, and offer a range of scalable resources that can be easily configured and deployed. This allows organizations to focus on developing and managing their applications and services, rather than on the underlying infrastructure.

PaaS is often used by organizations that want to quickly and easily develop and deploy custom applications, or by developers who want to build and test applications without the need to manage infrastructure. It is also often used as a foundation for building and deploying other cloud services, such as Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
